Who is eligible to play for prizes?

A registered Play Jamaica user ("User"), (1) a legal resident of Jamaica; (2) the age of 18 or older at the time of entry to win a prize or play games that have prize winnings associated with them; unless you are 13 years old or older and have your parent's consent to play games that have prize winnings associated with them, and if you win a prize, the prize will be awarded to your parent. The first time you win a prize in any calendar year, the prize claim procedure requires you to complete a Publicity Release Form. You will also be required to provide proof of age and residency.

Can I win prizes without purchasing credit?

What types of games are there on PlayJamaica.com?

There are (three) 3 types of games on playjamaica.com:

  1. Free online games. There are many games at playjamaica.com that are free for everyone to play.
  2. Main Tournament Game. This is a weekly tournament game that is available to everyone that buys credit.
  3. Daily sponsored prize games. These are daily tournament games that are available to every one that buys credit.

Daily sponsored prize games

Offering prize will be either and not limited to:

Schedule: Each daily tournament begins at 9:00 AM (Eastern Standard Time) and ends at 11:00 PM, ("Daily tournament Period").

How to enter

  1. Purchase a credit voucher from any of our credit merchants listed on the CREDIT page. Cost per credit will be $25.00 exclusive of GCT (Minimum Purchase of 2 credits)
  2. Click "ENTER TOURNAMENT NOW"
  3. Enter voucher number in dialogue box then click PLAY GAME
  4. PLEASE READ GAME INSTRCTIONS BEFORE PLAYING as credit will not be refunded for not understanding the game.
  5. BE THE FIRST TO BEAT THE SET SCORE AND WIN THE DAILY PRIZE.

Weekly Tournament Game

Schedule: Each Weekly tournament begins on Monday at 9:00 AM and ends each Saturday at 11:00 PM, ("Weekly tournament Period").

How to enter

  1. Purchase a credit voucher from any of our credit merchants listed on the CREDIT page. Cost per credit will be $25.00 exclusive of GCT (Minimum Purchase of 2 credits)
  2. Click "ENTER TOURNAMENT NOW"
  3. Enter voucher number in dialogue box then click PLAY GAME
  4. PLEASE READ GAME INSTRCTIONS BEFORE PLAYING as credit will not be refunded for not understanding the game.
  5. EARN THE TOP SCORE FOR THE GAME PERIOD TO WIN THE GRAND PRIZE.

Game Vouchers

  1. Vouchers expire exactly one week from the time of purchase.
  2. Vouchers can be used for any game during that week.
  3. Enter voucher number in dialogue box then click PLAY GAME
  4. Voucher sales for the current game week cut off at 7:00 pm on Saturdays.
  5. Vouchers purchased after 7:00pm on a Saturday will only be valid for the next game week.

Weekly sponsored prize games

Offering prize will be either and not limited to:

  1. Xbox 360 game systems
  2. Nintendo DS lite game systems
  3. Play Station Portable (PSP) game systems
  4. Nintendo Wii game systems
  5. Play Station 2 game systems
  6. Play Station 3 game systems
  7. IPod Touch mp3 players
  8. IPod Nano mp3 players
  9. IPod Shuffle mp3 players
  10. Blackberry 8900 communication devices
  11. Free Play Jamaica Credit
  12. Play Jamaica gift vouchers

How are Prizes Claimed and Awarded

Prizes can be claimed at our disbursement office (STR8 GAMES LIMITED/AREA 51 GAMES ARCADE) Shop #5 Clocktower Plaza.

Prizes

If you are a prize winner, you will receive an e-mail and/or a phone call with a release as an attachment to the e-mail. You will have fourteen (14) calendar days to claim your prize or it is forfeited.

Additional and Important Terms

  1. By participating in activities at WWW.PLAYJAMAICA.COM and/or the acceptance of any prize, the user agrees to be bound by the Official Rules and the Terms of Service and accepts the decisions of the Sponsor in all matters pertaining to WWW.PLAYJAMAICA.COM as final and binding.
  2. Employees of STR8 GAMES, Play Jamaica (parents, siblings, children, and their respective spouses) and/or those residing in the same household (whether related or not) of each of the above are not eligible to win a prize. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
  3. In the event of non-compliance with any of the requirements, the prize is forfeited and will not be awarded. If prize notification is returned as undeliverable, such prize is forfeited and will not be awarded. Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded. N.B. Failure to either supply information or accurate information after setting a high score will result in your score being invalidated. If this is done, you will be ineligible to collect a tournament prize.
  4. All times references are expressed as Eastern Standard Time. The Sponsor's clock is only Official Clock for the purposes of any times/dates used to execute any of the activities for WWW.PLAYJAMAICA.COM
  5. Any and all tax liability resulting from a winner's receipt of any prize is the responsibility of the winner.
  6. Prize winners will receive an e-mail or phone notification with prize claim instructions within approximately five (5) business days of their Instant Win.
  7. By entering the tournament and accepting the prize, the winner grants Sponsor the right to use and publish his/her photograph, name, or place of residence and/or likeness for advertising and promotional purposes in any media in connection with the tournament without limitation and without additional compensation.
  8. Sponsor and Sponsor Affiliates are not responsible for technical, hardware, software, telephone or other communications malfunctions, errors or failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, web site, Internet, or ISP availability, unauthorized human intervention, traffic congestion, incomplete or inaccurate capture of entry information (regardless of cause) or failed, incomplete, garbled, jumbled or delayed computer transmissions which may limit one's ability to participate in site activity or prize winning activity, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer. Sponsor and Sponsor Affiliates are not responsible for lost, late, stolen, illegible, incomplete, misdirected, damaged or destroyed entries or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server or other connections, miscommunications, failed phone or computer hardware or software or telephone transmissions or technical failures, garbled or jumbled transmissions or other errors of any kind, whether human, mechanical or electronic.
  9. If any tampering occurs, (including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other cause beyond the control of Sponsor or Sponsor Affiliates, which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of WWW.PLAYJAMAICA.COM and/or related prize-winning activity, Sponsor shall have the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend them all or any portion of site activity without any obligation to award any further prizes. ANY ATTEMPT BY ANY PERSON TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF WWW.PLAYJAMAICA.COM AND/OR THE PRIZE WINNING ACTIVITIES, IS IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.
  10. The use of machines, computers, scripts or any automated system to participate in any activity at WWW.PLAYJAMAICA.COM ("Automated Cheats") is strictly prohibited and may result in criminal liability. WWW.PLAYJAMAICA.COM has the right to terminate your User account and any further access to WWW.PLAYJAMAICA.COM
  11. A list of prizewinners will be posted at WWW.PLAYJAMAICA.COM for the duration of their respective claim times.
